As you’ve probably noticed already, there are a lot of wedding photographers out there.

We're not all the same & you’ll soon find there are Lots of styles, packages & price points to choose between.

TOP TIP! Don't pick your photographer on price alone- it's the quickest way to average photos & you don't want to regret that for the rest of your life

What most couples do, is reach out to as many photographers as possible, surround themself with quotes & leaflets, and end up totally overwhelmed & confused over what’s the best option or package for them.

If you follow these simple steps you’ll avoid this stress yourself- and narrow down that pile to just a couple of options.

Step 1- Know what you want

Make a list of essential things your photography package must include. Any quote you receive that doesn’t meet that criteria or is over budget, get rid of.  (You can always revise the criteria later if you find you don't have enough options left at the end.)

Step 2- Check out their work and imagine yourself in their images

By looking through a photographer's portfolio, you will begin to understand who they are as an artist. If you can imagine yourself in their photos, then the chances are you share similar artistic views, and they’ll be able to create those special memories you want from your wedding day. Again, remove

Step 3- Meet up with them

The biggest challenge to amazing photos, is the repour you and your photographer share together. For most people a photographer you can laugh and joke with, will encourage your personality to shine much more than someone who’s more formal & regimented. So don’t just rely on emails to chat, meet up for a chat (whether on Zoom or in person) and only keep your favourites on the short list.

Step 4- Make the final decision

By now, you will have hopefully turned a pile of quotes into 2-5 options. Anyone left on your short list will be a great choice as they will provide you with the package you want, in the style you’re looking for & by someone you get on well with. To make your final decision, compare the quotes against each other until your left with your perfect photographer.
