How's it work?
1. Check out the information & if you think you fancy trying one of our engagement shoots, then complete the brief form at the top of this page.

2. Keep an eye on your emails & I'll be in touch to arrange your shoot.
​
3. When you arrive at your shoot, we'll have a chat about the pictures you'd like & the various locations within your setting.
​
4. We'll then spend around 30 mins taking a range of pictures based on what we've previously discussed.
​
5. The final few minutes we'll have a quick chat so you know where to see your pictures & how to order your print.
​
6. I'll select a collection of the images we've taken, edit them up & create an online gallery within 72hrs
​
7. Choose your favorite photo from the collection & let me know which you'd like printing. I'll get that created for you and into the post!
Why have an engagement shoot?
1. Capture this unique stage of your story.
A lot of couples have memories of the beginning and the major points of their relationship, but very little of the excitement & love is captured when planning the rest of your life together.

2. Get to know your photographer
You are around them a lot on your wedding day, so make sure you get on well & like their style of shooting.

3. Get relaxed around the camera
There's nothing natural about being followed round with a camera, especially if you don't like your photo taken. The more times you can be in that situation, the more relaxed you'll be, and the more natural your final photos will be.

A lot of people hate about having their photo taken, because they worry about how they look. An engagement shoot, will show how amazing you actually look, removing the fear to allow you to enjoy it.

5. Images don't always work- so try things out!
Sometimes what you see in magazines doesn't come out the same way you thought it would in real life. Focus your wedding day on what you know works, by trying out some ideas before hand.

Hello! I'm Simon,
I love weddings and have been photographing them in the Portsmouth area for over 14 years.

I believe that every couples personality and chemistry is unique and that their wedding photographs should reflect that.

Over the years I've developed a method of working with couples to remove the stress and uncertainly over their wedding photography which allows them to relax & behave naturally, knowing they are in good hands.

By doing this you never know what spontaneous moments you're going to discover!
