The Real You Transformation

Bridal Prep-57 (Small).jpg

You don't need to become comfortable in front of a camera.

You just need to feel comfortable enough to forget it's there.

If having your photograph taken doesn't come naturally to you, the idea of spending a whole wedding day in front of a camera can feel daunting.

Maybe you're worried you'll look awkward. Perhaps you've never liked photographs of yourself. Or you're simply not sure what you're supposed to do when someone points a camera at you.

You don't need to change who you are to get photographs you'll love.

The Real You Transformation is my way of helping you move from feeling self-conscious in front of the camera to feeling comfortable enough to simply be yourselves.

And while you might not notice everything happening behind the scenes, there's a lot of thought that goes into making that happen.

It starts long before your wedding day

Feeling comfortable doesn't begin when I arrive with a camera.

The more I understand about you, your plans and what matters to you, the better I can help you feel prepared and relaxed when your wedding day arrives.

That's why I've developed the B.R.I.D.E. approach — five principles that shape the way I work with you from our first conversations through to your wedding day.

You don't need to remember the five steps.

They're there so I can do my job properly.

Kind Words
"We had the most amazing wedding day and Simon made us both feel very relaxed. Our family and friends said how lovely and friendly he was."

B — Begin with your vision

What do you want to remember?

Your wedding isn't going to look like anyone else's, so your photographs shouldn't either.

We'll talk about what matters to you, how you want your day to feel and the moments you'd really love to remember.

That might be the big emotional moments, the atmosphere you've spent months creating, the people who mean the most to you — or the little things you haven't even thought about yet.

Understanding your vision means I can make sure your photographs tell your story, rather than simply creating another collection of standard wedding photographs.

The result: photographs that take you back to your wedding, rather than just reminding you what it looked like.

R — Replace worry with confidence

You don't have to pretend you're comfortable.

If you're worried about being photographed, that's something we can work with — not something you need to hide.

You'll have opportunities to get comfortable with me and the camera before your wedding day, and I'll show you that looking natural doesn't mean knowing how to pose.

I'll guide you when you need it, answer the questions that are playing on your mind and help you discover what actually feels comfortable for you.

Little by little, the things that seemed awkward start to feel much less important.

I — Imagine what's possible

Your photographs don't have to look like everyone else's.

It's easy to play it safe when you're planning your wedding photography.

You might have saved hundreds of photographs that you love, but still wonder how to make your own photographs feel personal.

I'll help you take the ideas you already have and explore what could make them even more meaningful to you.

Sometimes it's a small change in timing, location or perspective. Sometimes it's simply seeing an opportunity that you hadn't noticed.

The aim isn't to make your wedding look different for the sake of it. It's to make your photographs feel unmistakably yours.

D — Design a day that flows naturally

Your photography should fit around your wedding — not take it over.

Your wedding day has enough moving parts without photography becoming another thing you have to manage.

We'll think about how you want your day to flow, where the opportunities for photographs naturally occur and what matters most to you.

That means I can work with the day rather than constantly interrupting it.

And when things change — because they inevitably will — I can adapt.

You don't need to follow a rigid photography schedule.

You need a plan that gives you structure when it's useful and freedom when it's not.

And eventually, you stop thinking about the camera.

This is where everything comes together.

You've had the chance to get comfortable. I've learned how you interact. We know what matters to you, what photographs you want and how much direction you need.

So when your wedding day arrives, photography doesn't need to dominate your thoughts.

You'll be talking, laughing, getting emotional, celebrating and enjoying the people around you.

And I'll be there, quietly watching for the moments worth remembering.

That's when the Real You comes through.

The nervous smiles become genuine ones. The forced poses disappear.

And your photographs start to show not just what your wedding looked like, but what it felt like to be there.

It's not about becoming someone else

The Real You Transformation isn't about turning you into confident models.

It's about removing enough of the things that make you uncomfortable for your personalities to come through naturally.

You don't have to perform for the camera.

You just have to be yourselves.
